Project to aid in the lasting development of the village of AzakusamudramSchools for children, a healthier environment, and improved public health are the main superb results of this project.
Project DescriptionWork, malnutrition, and difficult access to healthcare constituted the daily lives of children in Azakusamudram prior to 2010. Thanks to this project, those times have definitively passed. ![]() All children in the village now regularly attend school. They have also participated, with a great deal of joy and enthusiasm, in summer camps that have allowed them to strengthen the ties of friendship. The women are more autonomous and have greater confidence in themselves, owing to mutual aid groups that permit them to find solutions to daily problems. They are also better informed and can take better care of their children. They’ve also learned proper nutrition to avoid vitamin deficiencies. From now on, malnutrition will be no more than a bad memory. The project has also brought about lasting improvement in the health of the inhabitants. Painted murals help families remember the basic principles of health and hygiene. Moreover, consciousness-raising campaigns focusing on environmental protection and waste management have taught them the necessary steps for a healthy environment. Today the village is clean, and trash is sorted and recycled. Thanks to all the donors who have made this project possible ! |
